About Kristana

Hi! My name is Kristana and I am 31 years old. I have been a K-2nd grade teacher for the last 7 years. Before that, I was a substitute teacher in a variety of classrooms, ranging from TK through 3rd grade. I have my bachelors degree in child development, as well as a dual teaching credential in special education/ general education, and my masters degree in education with a focus in special education. My older sister has multiple disabilities, which is what made me choose this career path. When I was getting my degree, I worked in a variety of classrooms ranging from TK - 12th grade. During my credential year I worked in a general education 3rd grade classroom, and then a 4th-6th grade mild/moderate special education resource classroom. I am patient, reliable, friendly, and compassionate. I have previously completed CPR and First Aid training and am comfortable with pets. Open communication is very important to me, as well as providing a positive and safe environment for the child.
