My name is Kortni, I am currently a caregiver for a patient with dementia Alzheimer's and I care for her throughout the night. I have previous experience with dementia patients, even before I was being paid to help. My grandmother ( who I lived with) owned and ran a resting home for dementia patients as well as those without so I began my journey for helping care for elders at age 5 and I know I have made many special connections and bonds throughout my life because of this role I have chosen in others lives. From housekeeping to meal prep and general conversation, I have the skills, knowledge and heart make a great caretaker no matter the situation or circumstances the patient may be in.
