About Kiya

Hi everyone :) I grew up with the core belief that all human beings are born noble and with a pure heart. Children are closest to that state of pure joy and curiosity, worthy of utmost respect and care. I have worked closely with children for 4 years. My work as a children's guitar and ukulele teacher has taught me how to systematically provide growth for a child, and how to create a structured and playful program for a child to follow and engage with. My work as a children's class teacher has taught me how to connect with children of various temperaments. I've learned how to become one of them, to see the world through their darting eyes, to listen to them and be genuinely curious about their reality, to know when they need a hug, when to ask the right questions or when to cheer them up with a funny facial expression. I aim to create a safe, soothing, and playful space for your child(ren), and to be a positive male figure in their lives.
