About Kirstin

I'd describe my personality as personable, energetic and outgoing. I like tutoring because I love to see that "lightbulb moment" when a child understands a difficult topic or skill for the first time. I'm looking for a job that helps me better myself as a teacher and helps make a different in a child's life. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and my animals. I also play ice hockey and fast pitch softball on the weekends, but sometimes during the week. A few things you should know about my education are that I graduated with my undergrad degree in Language Arts with a minor in Elementary Education and an Early Childhood Endorsement. I also have a masters in Special Education from Purdue University and I have worked as a teacher for the past 4 years. I was in first grade for my student teaching, then continued in first grade for the first 3 years of my teaching career. This past year I moved up to 4th grade and will remain there this upcoming school year.
