About Kirsten

While I have over 20 years of experience teaching and caring for children, specializing in those with special needs, I have developed an interest and experience in caring for adults and seniors. I have recent experience caring for my adult cousin who has developmental and cognitive delays, as well as my mother who is in the early to mid stages of Alzheimer's Disease. The skills I developed working with children with cognitive disabilities, behavior, and mobility challenges have transferred very well to helping my cousin and my mom with day to day tasks and outings. I strive to maintain their independence and dignity to the highest level, and I will do the same for all of the individuals in my care. I easily adapt to meet the unique needs, personalities and interests of each individual. Further, I complete over 20 clock hours of caregiver training annually. My own children are in college now and I am seeking fulfilling part-time or flexible work that will fit my schedule.
