About Kira

Hi! I'm a 20-year-old college student currently home in Arizona for the summer. I've had a passion for working with children for as long as I can remember, inspired by my mom and my own experiences. I started babysitting my nephews at age 12 and have continued caring for children ever since, including babysitting for family friends. I also worked as a residential counselor at a YMCA overnight summer camp, where I was responsible for groups of up to 20 children ranging from ages 4 to 16. In addition, I volunteer as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters and with local organizations in New Orleans, where I attend school. I'm constantly working with and surrounded by kids, and I truly enjoy creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for them. I'm excited to bring my experience and energy to a great family this summer!
