Hi lovely families! I have my BA in criminal justice from Saint Joseph and currently pursuing occupational therapy. :) I am currently a 6th grade instructional assistant. I have experience working with children with ADHD and dyslexia in grade levels from 1st-7th. The subject areas consist of reading comprehension, fluency, writing and math. I have my Level 1 certification in Wilson and have over 7 years of tutoring kids with many different learning backgrounds. My approach to Wilson is when helping kids combat reading difficulties I not only try to address the academic challenges but also encourage and support mental and emotional aspects that stem from educational deficits. I like to weave techniques that establish a positive teacher-student relationship which creates success into learning and helping struggling readers. I am a former basketball coach and absolutely love building relationships with kids and motivating them to be successful and confident.
