I have watched special needs children for 3 years in the childcare center that I worked in. I have always made sure to give them attention by playing games with them and sitting with them as much as possible so they would feel comfortable coming to me if someone was picking on them. My cousin is mentally disabled and was constantly picked on as a child and I don't want to see this happen to these children while in my care.
