HI! My name is Kimmie, I am originally from Michigan and moved to Santa Cruz three years ago. I moved to Sonora to take a break from my full time job as a caretaker for a little boy with autism for the past three years but go back about once a month to work with him for a weekend or a vacation with the family. I have been working with kids for as long as I can remember but started specializing in children with special needs during high school. I am currently in school pursuing a general and special education degree. Some of the activities I have done while working with children are tutoring for school, driving them around for daily activities, cooking meals, taking to doctor/dentist appointments, giving medication, teaching sports, attending camps, accompanying on vacations, and teaching life skills. I find my greatest joy in life is when I am able to bond with a child and am welcomed into their world.

Kimmie is outstanding - truly one of a kind. She took on a big job with a Nanny position with my four boys, ages 3-11 years. Responsibilities varied, but included all day care with transportation, helping with chores, appointments, academics and music. She has excellent communication skills, is prompt and polite. She fit into our family immediately - I hired her on site. From day one, she jumped in with the kids, had a smile and brought enthusiasm and energy to our home. She multi-tasked beautifully within our big family and was able adjust her approach to fit each child's need in terms of both affection and discipline. We are excited for her with her recent move - but saddened for us - my kids still ask for her daily. She is someone that will excel in life wherever it leads, bring smiles to the faces of those around her and will remain a part of our family forever. Thank you Kimmie!
