About Kimberly

I have spent about one year working in Home Care with senior citizens while I was enrolled in university. At that point, I had gotten into the school system and began working with special needs children. Working with home care was rewarding in so many different ways. Seniors generally feel down on themselves because they can't do things they used to be able to do. I love caring for people, without making them feel useless. I love to keep them company, hear their stories, and make them feel pampered by going above and beyond what the job was for. For example, if I was hired to simply cook a light supper, feed them and clean the dishes afterwards, I would always take notice of other things that needed to be taken care of. Perhaps the garbage was overflowing. Maybe the floor needed a good scrubbing. There are so many little tasks I can do that could make a huge difference in someone's every day life.
