About Kimberly

Hiya! I'm Kimmie! I'm a 40-year-old preschool teacher, birth doula, and a single mother of 2, ages 3 and 8! I'm open to a summer position, while on break from school, or a guaranteed year-round! I've been in childcare for over 20 years in so many capacities, with positions ranging from summer camp to private nanny, special needs respite care to portrait photographer, birth doula to preschool teacher! Being a safe space for children is my most important job, having fun comes following that! I love being silly, cultivating crafts/activities, field trips, being outside in nature year round, creating, reading, and allowing kids to be kids. My childcare philosophy is rooted in respect for children, empowering them with tools to navigate all big feelings and little hiccups, creating a sense of autonomy over their bodies and their choices, to communicate respectfully and lovingly, anti-racism, inclusivity, connection, and emotional, physical, and mental security!
