As a childcare provider with two decades of experience, my passion lies in positively shaping the lives of children while supporting families. My calm, creative, and friendly nature allows me to connect easily with children and create a nurturing environment. I prioritize open communication with parents, using their preferred method to provide regular updates about their child's day and address any concerns. I'm comfortable enforcing household rules to ensure a safe and structured environment for the children in my care. From outdoor adventures to educational games, I enjoy a variety of activities with children that cater to their interests and promote their development. I'm comfortable caring for up to three children, ranging from infants to pre-teens, and have completed some college coursework, along with specialized training in Early Childhood Education and Child Development. I'm certified in First Aid and CPR, and have completed coursework in Early Child Development.

Kim worked with us to take care of our daughter for about a year and a half and we only parted ways because her family was relocating to a different state. I can confidently say that had she not moved we would’ve worked with her for many, many years and regardless, she will always be a cherished member of our family because of our time together. If you have the chance to work with her, do not miss it - she is incredibly special. Kim started with us when our daughter was 6 months old and it was immediately clear she is someone that we could put our complete trust in. Firstly, she is completely reliable, responsible, and knowledgeable - she has a deep background in professional childcare, and not least her own personal experience raising her wonderful family. Kim was always on time, very communicative and very respectful of our preferences and home. She was attentive to our daughter’s schedule while also being cognizant of her cues and adjusting plans as needed based on her being tired or hungry or needing a break. Kim is someone we felt fully confident in in the event of an emergency (which we thankfully never experienced) and knew we could count on every day. Kim is extremely safety-conscious in a way that should be deeply reassuring for any parent but not overbearing in any way for a child. Simply put, Kim is like another loving, attentive parent looking out for our daughter and doing as any parent would for their own child. We also appreciated how proactive Kim is with maintaining safety certifications and refreshing her own training and education opportunities. Second though equally as important, our daughter loves Kim and absolutely adores spending time with her. Kim meets children at their level - with friendship and respect - and uses her strong understanding of child development to teach, play and inspire while still keeping things fun. On a more logistical level, Kim is excellent at creating a varied agenda of activities each week; she makes an effort to know the neighborhood playgrounds, libraries and children’s programs so that she can provide different activities each day. She did an incredible job of mixing play, socialization, education and creativity into plans (both inside and outside the house) to help expand the boundaries of our daughter and keep her really engaged. Lastly, I think it is important to share that Kim was an invaluable resource, mentor, and sounding board to us, especially as new parents. Her extensive background helped us when we weren't sure about a particular situation with our daughter (eg, dealing with new behaviors such as changes in napping, getting more physical, sickness, etc). She was always open and enthusiastic about sharing her perspective with us when asked. She was also quite proactive in helping us anticipate what we should experience as new parents, which we really valued (and needed). All this to say Kim had a profound positive impact on our daughter, and our family is better for knowing her and having worked with her. She helped our daughter develop new skills, was (and still is!) a caring and attentive best friend to her, and is someone we were so comfortable and happy to have in our home and in our lives every day. Do not hesitate to work with Kim, you will not regret it.
