We hired Kiley as our nanny and she said she didn't feel in a good space to work as a nanny at that moment which was fine so i'm just commenting on when she actually did work with us. The positives were she was on time, and flexible. The negatives were that she really didn't try to engage with the kids. My husband was frustrated she would be with our 7 month old and not speak to them or look at them in an engaging way. Just to allow them to play on the floor safely but no building a connecting, no cooing, no sense of fun. And it was similar with our older kids but less so as they could ask her themselves to play and engage. She really wasn't willing to put any effort in. We were in fact not planning to keep her on but she did mention she didn't feel in a great space and was taking time to work on herself. I wouldn't usually mention this but I am choosing to as perhaps that's why she wasn't trying to talk to my kids much. and when she feels better she may be better at this. And with this in mind she may be more interested in the kids when it comes time to you hiring her int he future.
