I have experience with children of all ages in a variety of settings. Beginning at 13, I provided after-school care for a family with 2 children with autism. At this time, I also worked as a summer paraprofessional with special needs children (pre-K - 2nd grade) where I used reinforcements to curb problematic behavior and complete learning objectives. My time studying Psychology at Columbia University has provided me with an empirical approach to child development. On a practical level, I have worked with dozens of children in NYC (4 months - 17 years old) through evening babysitting, house-sitting, and pet-sitting. As a Teaching Assistant at Columbia, I worked alongside professors in advanced Psychology courses. In high school, I provided academic support in the subjects of Algebra, Geometry, Biology, Chemistry, History & American Literature. I currently work as a full-time Research Assistant at Columbia Medical Center and plan to attend medical school in a few years.
