About Kierianne

Hi everyone! My name is Kierianne and I am an experienced teacher, having taught for 9 years. I have primarily taught 1st and 3rd grade, but have had field experience in all of the early childhood grades (Pre-k-3--my certification). One of my favorite things about what I do is showing kids their real potential in education. All students can have goals that can be achieved and nothing is impossible. This age group has a lot of inherent curiosity and I use that to my advantage in my delivery of instruction. I believe that students learn best when you take their interests into account for you lessons and tailor content to their academic level. In addition to my background, I am well versed in curriculum planning as well as math enrichment. These would be my biggest strengths, but I also have a lot of experience with phonics, phonemic awareness, reading and writing instruction.
