About Kiara

Hello. My name is Kiara. I am a senior Biology: Pre-Physical Therapy major at Jackson State University. I have always loved helping younger children seek the fun in learning. Even though math may be easy to some people I have realized that math is not simple for some. I had a great teacher to help me fully understand the fundamentals of math and make it fun for me. I would like to help younger children grasp the concept in a fun and educational way. I have tutored middle school aged students while working with a program called Pathways to College in Milwaukee, WI. I also tutored my fellow peers while in high school. I was one of the top testers in my school. My junior and senior year I attained the highest score on the math portion of the state wide standardized testing for high school students. I would love to share this excitement for math with children that are struggling in school, as well as build a strong educational relationship with the child. I feel that every child should have someone that can make their learning experience fun.
