About Khilola

Khilola provided in-home care for over a year for my mother, who was in her mid-80s, suffered from decreasing mobility after a knee replacement, compounded by worsening vascular dementia. Mom was extremely resistant to assistance, or strangers in her home. Where others failed, Khilola quickly managed to gain her trust and work through periodic subsequent outbursts. Khilola assisted Mom with the full range of daily activities. She noticed oncoming illnesses or other issues before they became apparent to us, so they could be addressed before they got worse. She also identified circumstances that triggered confusion and anxiety in Mom. It was only later that I appreciated the usefulness of Khilola's training as a dentist, when Mom developed some infection on the gums. Her dentist said oral hygiene is often neglected by aides. Khilola's time with us ended when she relocated to be near a daughter who had recently moved to the country. We were sorry to see her go.
