About Khalid

I love kids and have over 25 years of experience caring for them, including 12 years as a grade 6-12 classroom teacher, 16 years as a summer camp counselor, and two years as a summer camp director. My passion, purpose, and proficiency lie in education and childcare. I'm a professional uncle, always bringing positive energy and establishing safe spaces for children to thrive. My background working with summer camps and coaching football, basketball, softball, and teaching at the middle and high school levels means I have a wide variety of active games to engage children. I also love word and board games. I communicate with parents verbally at pickup and seek to be on the same page with families about household rules and culture. I'm CPR and First Aid trained and am willing to help with cooking, meal preparation, and carpooling. I'm super extroverted and embody Black boy joy. I genuinely love helping children grow and learn, as the wonderful little people they are.
