About Khadija

I've had many years of experience babysitting multiple young cousins and nieces/nephews being the oldest in the family. I was lucky enough to have a great childhood spent playing outdoors and engaged in creative activities and would love to ensure that other children had the same opportunities and experiences that were afforded to me. I've worked as a volunteer special needs teacher at a non profit school, as well as been a graduate teaching assistant. I understand that each child is different and the attention and approach needed is different as well. I'm highly adaptable and very patient. I love doing things like baking/cooking and involving children in tasks that feel like they've made a contribution/teaching them responsibility. Whilst I'm a firm believer in fun I also believe in responsibility as well and I'm ever ready to help with homework and ensuring that chores get done. Clear communication is vital and children needs need to be heard and acknowledged in order to assist them.
