About Kennya

Kennya has been caring for our 20 month old son since he was 3 months old. We have two much older kids and had never previously worked with a nanny before. We had exclusively relied on family members and then daycare when they were older. We were a little nervous about bringing on a nanny for the first time, but working with Kennya has been an amazing experience. She almost immediately fit in really well with our family and bonded very quickly with our baby and us. Kennya is extremely nurturing, empathetic and gentle. She is probably the most patient person I have ever met in my life. Kennya is also easygoing and very flexible about our preferences and any instructions related to our baby’s care and routine. My husband and I work full-time and she has been very flexible about working extended hours when needed. Kennya also helps with light housekeeping, preparing food for our son when we ask, and doing laundry for our entire family which has been an absolute game changer. As our son had grown up, she had done a great job engaging him and teaching him words and good habits. Our son is extremely energetic and has a strong personality and she has been so patient with him and somehow keeps up with him! Kennya has become a member of our family. She is primarily Portuguese speaking but we have found a seamless way of communicating verbally in English and mostly through text which has actually worked very well. Kennya owns a car and is a great driver and takes our son to different fun parks and Curiodyssey. Our son is very happy and healthy and we know Kennya’s care has greatly contributed to this. We wish we could work with Kennya forever but we will be transitioning our son to full-time daycare in January. We will continue to work with her as our go-to babysitter. We recently took our older kids to Disneyland for a few days and had our baby stay home with Kennya and it worked out really well. We couldn’t recommend Kennya more. Any family that works with her will be incredibly fortunate!
