About Kendra

I have experience with many groups of children having worked and volunteered at: YMCA, CASA, crisis nurseries, ABA clinics (I have since learned the problems with ABA brought forward by autistic adults), children's mental health settings, & agencies working to reunify families in foster care. Most of my experience is with children ages 2-8. I have a BA in psychology & a Master's in Social Work focusing on youth and families. I'm currently taking a break from social work due to the burnout from that career path. I am comfortable with all types of pets & am a big animal lover! I personally have a giant breed dog and three cats. I have also spent time with pet rats, ferrets, lizards, snakes, rabbits & even house trained pigs! I'm looking to provide care for random days off school, date nights, emergencies, etc. Since I'm still deciding my next career move I don't want to promise a long term commitment to a family if in a few months I am unable to provide that continuity of care.
