I am an advocate, mentor, and life skills trainer for individuals with special abilities. I have worked in many different classrooms over the last 15 years of teaching. I enjoy the challenges and simple joys of helping others in need. I created and designed my own special education prom for my district. Three years ago while working as a teacher, a few of my colleagues and I determined more awareness needed to be seen by others in our learning community. We decided to create an event called Ability Awareness! This event showcases individuals with different abilities and their vocational achievements in life. We feature local young adults with unique abilities that contribute back to the community with their amazing talents. I am certified in Crisis Intervention Strategies, Autism training, Behavior Intervention Programs, Independent Educational Plans, and more!
