About Kelsey

I am kind, passionate, reliable, and empathetic. In my spare time, I like to listen to music, paint, color, take care of animals, decorate, and go for hikes. I love working with kids, am very patient, and empathetic. I like tutoring because I love to be creative and create engaging and fun lessons, along with working 1:1 with kids/students, and I like to choose my own schedule. I started tutoring when I was in college for education as part of "field work," for a college course. I have experience working with students/kids with mild disabilities to severe disabilities. I have tutored online and in person for the subjects of math, reading and writing. I have a flexible teaching style and do not always follow a strict lesson plan. I taylor lessons and activities to students based on their abilities, and interests. I have experience as a classroom special education teacher, and have experience with token boards, visual supports, modifications, and more.
