My experience in caring for those with special needs has been more of a volunteer experience. I volunteered at gym that had a program for special needs children of all ages and I was assigned a child to work with and guide them on different exercises. I volunteered with St. Edmonds, a home for children with special needs and showed them affection with reading books, doing crafts, singing songs, playing guitar and so much more. I also babysat for a family with a child that was autistic . I am very passionate when it comes to special needs children and am planning on going to graduate school for Occupational Therapy with a specialization in special needs children.
