About Kelly

I have my BA in Psychology and my MA in Gerontology. The only professional experience I have is through my graduate assistantship. I worked off campus at a place similar to Meals on Wheels. I would do home visits and congregate site visits for the surrounding counties. The home visits I would bring the meals in, and talk for a little bit. For the congregate sites, I would help prepare the meals and serve them, but also play games with them before and after lunch. On certain days we would offer an exercise class. For my personal experience, my grandmother moved in with us while I was in HS and I would help with her insulin shots, meds, laundry, meals, and oxygen tank. My grandfather had passed a few years earlier and he had Alzheimer's and I saw how hard that was on my everyone and wanted to learn more about it. It was the care for them that lead me to the majors I did.
