I've work as a teacher for over 5 years and with children for over 10 years. have experience with individuals ages 5-30 in a range of different needs. I consider myself responsible, professional, creative, and fun! I love to engage with individuals in different ways and settings to truly make sure we all have a great time! Throughout the year I volunteer as a coach and organizer with Special Olympics. I do have my own transportation and safe driving record and am very comfortable in homes with pets! Prior to teaching, I worked in group homes, as a 1:1 aid, and as an in-home respite worker. I also worked at a summer camp throughout college for individuals with unique needs. I have experience teaching adaptive recreational activities for individuals with unique needs- my specialty is swim lessons (I was a lifeguard and water safety instructor for 10 + years) and I LOVE an arts and crafts project!
