Hi, my name is Kelly. I am 40 years old. A mother to two amazing adult children (20 and almost 18) . I've been blessed to have had the experience working with my own children, one who has autism and one who has ADHD, as well as several other children over the years. Working with children, especially those with special needs, is my passion. My nephew is Deaf, so I went to St. Pete College to become fluent in American Sign Language. One of my most rewarding experiences was teaching a young autistic child to communicate with his family for the first time using ASL. In addition to working with a child with autism, I've also worked with children with ADHD and Down Syndrome. My main technique of disciplining is to refocus negative behavior by providing healthier, safer, less destructive behaviors. I also use positive reinforcement at all times. I try to use my positive attitude and upbeat energy to create a happy and fun environment.
