I have a degree in Child Development and Psychology and speak fluent Spanish as well as conversational French, Chinese, German, and Italian. My most recent job was teaching ESL to adults and Spanish to children. I lived in Spain and taught English to all age groups while I was there (1 year). I am CPR/First Aid certified and got my certification in installing car seats when I worked for a pediatrician's office. I have also worked extensively with the local autism society and have other experience with special needs people including physical disabilities like quadriplegia. I am great with animals and have 5 years experience as a veterinary assistant. I have a 9 lbs. licensed therapy dog named Waffles who loves people should you desire his involvement. My daughter has been seeing Kelly for piano lessons since she was 4 years old and I have been told by many people, including music teachers that the skill she exhibits is amazing for one so young. Not only does she read music and understand theory with incredible skill but she LOVES playing and never even has to be asked to practice. Her teacher manages to make even seemingly mundane things fun for my daughter and I love seeing the joy on her face when she tells me about something new she learned or shows me a new song she learned. Kelly has done such a wonderful job of giving her a love of music that I know she will carry her whole life. My daughter is even asking if she can take singing lessons as well. We enjoyed our experience so much that my wife even started taking lessons for the first time since she was 6 years old. She and my daughter play duets and are really bonding through the experience. I would recommend this teacher to anyone; children and adults alike.
