Hello! My name is Kellie and I just moved back to the area after living and working in Ann Arbor. I have been working with children my whole life, 5 years professionally. Most recently I was nanny to newborn N his first month of life! I worked overnight from 8pm-6 a.m. six days a week in this role. Previously, summers 2010-2013, I cared for four children (ages 1, 3, 5, 6) full-time as needed while their parents worked Mon.-Fri. between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. I am looking for similar work now. When working with kids I like to have a plan. In good weather I lead outdoor games or take the children on walks. Inside I teach crafts. With older children I play board and card games. I play with and read to the little ones. I love learning and encourage reading. I am First Aid and CPR certified (adult and infant), a non-smoker and I have my own reliable transportation. We interviewed Kellie as one of our final 3 nanny choices. Before we actually met her in person, she was SO professional and responsive in her emails and phone calls (better any of the others). We did a phone interview and she was very accommodating in answering all our questions. Then we did a 2-hour, in-home practice run for nannying, while I was also home working in my office. She arrived with her resume, references and background check in hand, which was SUPER. She played with the kids, helped cook lunch and changed the baby's diapers. She is very sweet, intelligent and, the best thing is, she is very flexible with her hours. While she did not meet our family's own specific needs in the end, you should definitely consider her as a candidate for yours.
