Experience: 7 yrs
Hello! My name is Kelby, I have over 7 years of experience working with children of all ages in various settings. I've worked in childcare centers as a lead teacher in classrooms ranging from toddlers to preschoolers, as well as school-aged children. I've also nannied for two families, caring for children from 2 months to 17 years old. I love creating engaging activities that encourage creativity and imagination, I have a large amount of experience leading crafts, helping with homeschool and afterschool homework, organizing drop-offs and pick-ups for extracurricular activities, and preparing simple, kid-friendly meals. I also provide light housekeeping, including tidying up after children, assisting with nap time routines, and handling children's laundry. I'm passionate about helping children thrive in a safe, nurturing environment where they can learn, play, and grow. If you're looking for someone reliable, caring, and experienced to support your family, I'd love to connect!

We are so incredibly grateful for Kelby who became part of our family for the past two years, during which she was our nanny for our blended family of five children. From the moment Kelby joined us, she brought warmth, dedication, and an incredible ability to juggle the needs of children ranging from toddlers to teens with ease. When Kelby started, our family was in a very dynamic season of life. My wife was pregnant, we had three young children at home—our twins, who were six at the time, and our tween daughter, who was ten—and our eldest a 14-year-old who just started high school. Kelby immediately embraced the beautiful chaos of our household with open arms, seamlessly stepping into her role as a caregiver, supporter, and being a huge part of our family team. Kelby’s responsibilities went far beyond just watching the kids. She was there to help with school drop-offs and pick-ups, after-school care, and driving the kids to their various activities. She planned fun outings, including park visits, beach trips, and their much-loved “Friday Sweetie Days.” She made each child feel special, creating unique bonds with all of them, despite their vastly different ages and needs. When our youngest was born, Kelby was an amazing source of support, helping us transition to life with a newborn while still making sure the older kids felt loved and cared for. She shared in all of our baby’s milestones—from her first steps to her first words—and her bond with our little one was heartwarming to witness. Kelby also helped our household run smoothly. Whether it was grocery shopping, light housekeeping, food prep, or assisting with the kids’ laundry, Kelby always stepped up without hesitation. She even took exceptional care of our two big dogs whom she loved just as much as the kids, walking them, even changing their diet, and watching them when we were away. Perhaps Kelby’s greatest strength is her ability to truly connect with children of all ages. Each of our kids found a safe space with her from our little one who is now a toddler to our teen, who is almost an adult. She loves them wholeheartedly. She became so much more than a nanny—she became part of our family and our tribe. Kelby’s reliability was another trait we greatly appreciated. She rarely called in sick and we often joked about her amazing immune system, even when illnesses seemed to cycle through our home nonstop. Her consistency and dependability were gifts we came to rely on. As we have just said goodbye to Kelby (our work schedule has shifted so that we can have more time with our kids and don’t need a full-time nanny), it’s bittersweet. While we’re so excited for her next chapter, there’s no denying that she has left a huge mark on our family. Her presence in our children’s’ lives has been invaluable, and she has a tribe of kids (and two dogs) who miss her deeply. Kelby, thank you for the love, care, and dedication you’ve given our family over the last two years. You’ve made an incredible difference in our lives, and we are forever grateful. Any family lucky enough to have you in their lives will truly be blessed.
