I previously worked for a company in Boston. I cared for an adult female who was physically and mentally challenged. I provided total care for her in rotation with a team for more than 10 years. I cooked meals, took her out for walks in the park, the zoo and to the hair dresser. I was responsible for all of her personal hygiene, clothing, total supervision and care. I kept her safe from hurting herself and others. Additionally, I cared for my brother and my mother-in-law who both had cancer. I was accompanying them to doctor's appointment, providing meals and medication management, etc. I also helped care for my aging grandmother who was in a nursing home for 10 years providing bed bathes, dressing, feeding, reading and praying with her and feeding her. At another company where I work from time to time, I have cared for a disabled teenager providing personal hygiene, feeding, grooming, personal assistant, accompanied to amusement park and transporting to rides and supervision. I have also worked with the elderly providing total care in meal preparation, feeding, personal hygiene, assist with walking, clothing and supervision. Currently, I work as a fill-in until full-time employment is available. I am actively seeking a full-time or part-time part-time position. Eventually, I would like to go back to college to get a degree. I have a servants heart and a heart for ministry. Eventually, I hope to land a position where I can incorporate my passion for people, American Sign Language, and my life skills.
