About Keelin

It has been a lifelong practice of mine to help children reach their highest potential. In high school I taught preschool classes and swim lessons, and during the summers I was a nanny. In college, I participated in the Big Brother, Big Sister program. After college I worked with the Youth and Teen programs at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington. Currently, I am a Title I teacher in Chicago, Illinois. I began pursuing a degree in teaching in 2019 after photographing Eastern Washington University's "Get Lit" festival. One of the events featured the National Teacher of the Year (2018). I deeply connected with her zeal for learning and motivation to help students become compassionate, productive people in the world. In 2016, I earned a bachelor of the arts degree from Carthage College with a major in English with Creative Writing emphasis, and minors in Spanish and Studio Art. In 2017, I completed a certificate in Copywriting from Blackford School of Copywriting.
