I am a Special Education teacher, originally from Chicago, Illinois. I have my Learning Behavior Specialist I and ESL degrees. My main experience is working as a case manager and teacher in a Severe and Profound/Medically Fragile classroom. I have experience working on the functional and therapeutic end, focusing on life skills, independence, and improved quality of life. I worked with a team of occupational therapists, physical therapists, social workers, speech/language pathologists, vision and hearing itinerants, psychologist, and doctors daily. I am very familiar with crisis situations, therapy sessions, and medical care. I also have extensive experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Sensory Processing Disorder. Outside of the educational setting, I have experience dating back to a young teen with babysitting newborns, toddlers, and young children of family and friends, both with and without disabilities.
