I have been working in the special education field for 7 years now with a focus in ABA. I can say that this passion of mine stemmed from my mom working with special needs and me always helping out in her room. I began my journey as in-home therapist for children with autism and helping parents and the child with social/living/behavioral parts of life. After that I worked at crossroads school for 2 years as an ABA therapist. Crossroads school is a school for children with autism who are unable to have their needs met in public school settings. After seeing what a private district was like I switched to the early childhood center and worked as a behavior tech for the preschool in their pathways program for children with autism for 3 years, that was one of my absolute favorite jobs. There is something about being with a child when they first enter the school system that is so special. I sadly had to move because of my fiancé's career but I became a special education teach for Westfield MA
