About Kayla

Hello, my name is Kayla and I am 24 years old. I recently graduated from Columbia University with a Masters in Counseling Psychology. After a two-year stint in Manhattan, I am now back in New Jersey and looking for work as a nanny and/or pet-sitter. I have about 8 years of experience working with children. For five years, I worked as a full-time nanny (to a family that I met on care. com!) and for the past two years I have held multiple part-time baby-sitting jobs while attending graduate school. My duties as a nanny have included, but are not limited to: engaging children in activities, supervising play dates, light housework/cooking, errands, laundry, transportation, and organizing closets/play-rooms. I have a great deal of experience working with children of all ages and backgrounds and I am also comfortable working with large groups of children. I have house-sat, dog-sat, accompanied families on outings/vacations, and been responsible for children while parents were on vacation. I adapt very easily in a nanny/babysitter position. I also love dogs and animals of all kind. If you have animals, I am extremely familiar with caring for all sorts of pets, even those with special needs.
