About Kayla

I have spent most of my life caring for children in one way or another and, starting as the neighborhood babysitter. Later I worked in child advocacy and as a professional nanny, which led to me running a homeschool group for neighboring families during COVID-19. Currently, I am an Assistant Early Childhood Teacher at a Waldorf school. I enjoyed everything about the process of watching, teaching, and helping children from the ages of birth to 18, but my heart belongs to early childhood. In addition to my work experience, I earned my MEd for Experienced Educators, Nature-Based Early Childhood Education at Antioch University New England. At Antioch, I had the honor of learning among a community of teachers who want to help children connect and learn in the natural world. My time there was one of the most inspiring times for me as a teacher and I walked away renewed and energized for early childhood education.
