About Kayla

Hello! My name is Kayla H. and I am 19 years old. I started working with kids when I began babysitting in my neighborhood at age 13. I became a summer camp counselor at my community theatre at age 15, and since have become a teaching assistant during the school year in addition to summers. During this time I was responsible for kids between the ages of 2 and 16, and I also have experience working with children on the autism spectrum as well. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, crocheting, writing poetry, photographing, painting, drawing, singing, and spending time with family and friends. One thing you should know about me is I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in Journalism at Fordham University. My skills include organizing fun activities such as crafts or afternoon outings, providing comfort and support, and helping kids work through their challenges using a positive mindset.
