About Kayla

I'd describe my personality as passionate, intelligent, and warm :) I like working with kids because they are honest, carefree and I feel I can be a dependable and caring person in their life while I am needed. I'm looking for a job that allows me to be myself, care for others, and gives me the financial support to maintain my bills. I started working with kids when I had little brothers. I'm 10 and 8 years older than them so I really learned how to care for children at every stage of development. And then I started sitting for my neighbors' daughters over a period of a few years. And most recently I've worked in the Environmental Education space at The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education during the summer with the 8-9-year-olds! In my spare time, I like to go to parks, museums, and restaurants! I'm a busy body and I'm obsessed with nature and art and music! My skills include excellent pattern recognition, my ability to be kind and firm, and my natural playfulness.
