About Kayla

Hello! My name is Kayla C, and I am pursuing a doctorate in Special Education at the University of North Texas. My journey in this field began over five years ago as a habilitation training specialist, where I supported individuals with disabilities in various daily living skills, from feeding and dressing to accessing occupational, physical, and speech therapies. I am dedicated to helping individuals engage meaningfully in their communities and find fulfilling employment. This role allowed me to work closely with individuals and their support systems, developing tailored support strategies to meet each student's unique needs. Collaborating with these amazing supporters provided valuable insights into their diverse experiences and support needs. I look forward to connecting with new families here and continuing my mission of providing compassionate support and advocacy for individuals with disabilities in our community.
