About Kayla

I am a OSU Newark student in my 3rd year working towards a Primary Education degree. I have currently completed 3 different field placements where I was placed in a school and worked closely with the teacher to make lessons plans and learn what it is like to teach a group of elementary students. The grades I have been placed in have been varied between Preschool to 5th grade. I am also currently employed at Little Village Academy as an after school care floater. I work with many ages, but mostly preschool to school age. I am CPR and First Aid certified and have had a BCI and FBI completed due to working in many schools. I enjoy working with children and seeing them grow. Learning can be exciting and fun, it's all about how you do it! I love building legos, crafts like coloring and diamond painting, watching movies, and spending time with my cat Simon. I am a huge animal person and have previously worked at a dog daycare and boarding facility. I look forward to hearing from you!
