About Kayla

My name is Kayla! I'm an Elementary Education major in my Senior year at Western Governors University. I have a deep passion for helping kids thrive socially and emotionally, as well as learning how to manage their emotions and build their cognitive functions through songs, play, crafts, sign language and enjoying every moment of being a kid! By embracing the core components of social and emotional learning development, I have been able to build relationships with the family and kids I work with. Furthermore, I help children become self-aware of their emotions and work on ways to self-manage them together. I have worked as a toddler teacher to aid in potty training and have developed techniques that work! My goal is to provide structure, support, and love.
