About Kavita

I am currently a Unit Manager, I oversee 15 employees and 97 residents. Although I am a Unit Manager I attend to all resident's needs; bringing a glass of water, distributing pain medications, assessing residents when and if necessary, coordinating with physicians, dietitians, PT and OT while keeping the resident's best interest in mind. Knowing that each decision that may arise needs to be approved by the resident or respected family member(s). Caring for a resident is more than giving medication, it is understanding and respecting the resident as a person. Acknowledging the person's well-being and attending to all their needs: physical, emotional and spiritual in the best way possible. I understand that there are uncured illnesses. My goal, is, at the end of my shift he/she will be better than before. There are things that cannot be changed but keeping someone safe while placing a smile on their face can help a situation.
