About Katy

After spending the last 5 years in ECE settings, I am ready for some 1v1 time with students. I'm a certified teacher in 2 states with a SPED endorsement in early childhood - high school. My husband and I just moved to the Albuquerque area, and I am looking to connect with great families. I look forward to meeting you and your 1-2 children! My most recent teaching experience has been with my Nursery class at a forest-Reggio school. With my co-teacher, we guided 14 twos and threes into the forest, mud, and snow! I've worked with many children over diapering, potty training, and the eating habits of a young preschooler. I am comfortable with young 2s or older 1s, but prefer this age group to be the youngest I work with. While teaching, I've accumulated loose-part materials and other fun building tools that I'd love to bring over and share with your child. We can sing or dance, read/practice speech, make play dough, spend all day outside, or go on special excursions. Let's connect!
