About Katy

I have a B. M. in voice performance and a M. M. Ed in choral music education. I am a certified K-12 music teacher in New York state. I was also a singer in the US Navy band for 6 years, singing all styles of music from classical to jazz, country to pop, and everything in between! I teach private beginner guitar and ukulele and specialize in working with children. I have taught students as young as 4 to play the ukulele and students as young as 6 to play guitar. I teach ukulele and recorder at the elementary school I teach at full-time. I love sharing music with the next generation in the hopes that they will develop a love and appreciation for it that will last their entire life.
