I'd describe my personality as fun, spontaneous & outgoing I like working with kids because every minute of every day is new & exciting so there's never a dull moment and I love not knowing what lies ahead. I'm also looking for a job where my talents are appreciated and where I'm not treated like "the help" but am seen as playing an integral role for the families and children I work with. I started working with kids when I was in my mid-20s and volunteered as a coach for both softball & volleyball at my old grammar school. I was first compensated for working with kids when I nannied PT before my own twins were born. I graduated with a degree in early childhood while I was still pregnant. I've been a teacher's assistant for children with special needs for a year and a kindergarten teacher for 1. 5 years. In my spare time, I like to travel, read and go for long walks. My skills include patience, empathy & being not being afraid of being silly.

We love Katie! We’ve been using her for the past month, for afternoon care for our 4.5yr old son. She’s really great at getting him to go outside (when the weather cooperates) and to engage in non-screen time activities. She also knows how to handle behavioral issues that come up without any direction from us. She’s been very accommodating as our schedule has been in flux, and she’s very prompt at messaging us back. She’s also awesome with our dog, who can sometimes be challenging.
