About Katie

Hello, my name is Katie! I am 22 years old and I am an elementary school teacher. I hold my NYS teaching certification and a degree in Early Childhood/Childhood Education from SUNY New Paltz; I am currently working on my masters in literacy! I have ample experience working with children of all ages. Presently, I am a permanent substitute teacher at an elementary school in Nassau County. I spent two summers during undergrad working in daycare centers, and I also have prior experience with babysitting and camp counseling from over the years. I believe I have a lot of skill when it comes to creating a fun and engaging environment for the children I work with, while also prioritizing safety. I have a positive attitude and I'm eager to help out families in any way I can! In terms of availability, I am pretty flexible schedule-wise starting in middle of June through August 12th when I begin PD for my new teaching job. Thank you for your time!
