About Katie

I absolutely love my job as a teacher and the impact I make in the lives of my students. Now that I have settled into my career and have extra time, I am looking for an additional opportunity where I can apply my skills in a meaningful way. With a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as certification in English as a Second Language, I have a strong background in education and childcare. I have experience teaching Pre-K and first grade, as well as babysitting children of all ages. I currently teach first grade in a resource classroom, where I work with students who have IEPs and 504 plans. I tailor instruction to accommodate their needs. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my dog and traveling whenever I can. I am highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating structured yet nurturing environments, making me a great fit for various roles.
