Hello! My name is Katie. I'm a 30-year-old female living and working in Brooklyn. For the past year, I was working at an after-school arts program. Currently I tutor children with special needs in one-to-one settings while I am finishing my masters. I would like to be a teacher/caregiver since I enjoy working with children in a setting where I can most effectively develop a strong relationship with a child, and learn from them in the process. I had a learning disability which shaped my approach and understanding of the importance children build confidence in learning to develop a passion and interest. Working with children, I have had opportunities to share my passion for art, which I enjoy making in my own time. I love building confidence through creative learning!
