Hello, Katie Liljedahl here and I am a graduate student at UC Denver studying Early Childhood Special Education. I began my work with children with special needs upon graduating college with a BA in English and nannying for a family with three children. The youngest child had cerebellum ataxia and was non ambulatory. I accompanied him to speech, language, physical and occupational therapy as well as provided individualized adaptive yoga. I saw first hand his struggles and triumphs and went on to work as a play therapist for children with autism and then as an inclusion specialist supporting parents and teachers through the IEP process. I taught as a lead preschool teacher for two years and worked with a wide range of learners. I am creative, engaging, kind, experienced, and reliable. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon!
