About Katie

It takes a village to raise a child and while many of us resonate with this age old adage, our culture is simply not set up for the modern family to reap the benefits of community support flowing in from all directions. I thrive off creating nurturing bonds with children and engaging with them in authentic and creative ways. After receiving my BA from College of Charleston, I moved to sunny Santa Barbara, CA where I was a teacher in a Reggio Inspired program. I went on to become a program manager for a non profit supporting children with special needs as well as a play therapist for children with autism. I opened a yoga for kids business (Peanut Butter and Yoga)-certified in yoga for kids and adults. I have taught in various preschools and earned my Master's in Early Childhood Education from UC Denver.
